Testing for UCI Students who Reside Outside of Southern California.

If you live outside of Southern California, we strongly recommend that you arrive on campus in time to take your placement tests before you attend Summer Orientation. The Academic Testing Center will administer a full range of placement tests the day before each Summer Orientation.  See our entire summer schedule here. An additional UC Irvine Placement Testing event for Chemistry and Calculus will be held on June 14, 2008 at the UC Berkeley campus; check information about that event here.

If you live in the United States, and need to take placement tests before you arrive on campus, our distance testing program is available. Please note that this program requires a significant amount of planning on your part and also has fees.  Information about distance testing for freshmen will be available here by May 27, 2008.

International students needing to take placement tests should register online for the tests they wish at one of our regularly scheduled on-campus events (see the summer schedule here).  Should you not be able to attend any of the summer testing events, please contact the Academic Testing Center at testcenter@uci.edu.  We will arrange for you to take your placement tests on a small group or individual basis after you arrive on campus.
